Here’s a little recent work of mine as B-Camera operator for Gildan Activewear with Blake Shelton. We had 2 Arri Alexa Minis and about 30 minutes at the First Niagara Center to make this happen. One important thing I’ve learned about celebrities and pro athletes is they don’t always do exactly what you need them to do, so more often than not you just have to roll with it, and that we did.

Made an early morning visit to Brennan’s Bowery Bar yesterday with director Eric Frick and Key Grip Joe Bunce (basically 1/4 of the A-team) to shoot a spot in honor of their 40-something anniversary. We were in and lit, ready, and out just in time for their 11am lunch rush. I’m always amazed what you can pull off with the right people 🙂

I spent a sliver of the afternoon yesterday shooting an interview with the amazing Ali MacGraw who had some very nice things to say about the Darwin Martin House and Buffalo, NY in general.

I operated camera back in mid December for the Buffalo, NY leg of this documentary piece produced by Vice Media for Live Nation. We had something like 4 Sony FS7 rolling and the place was completely packed with teenage girls who I assume were there to see that cute little Silentó feller who was one of a number of other artists performing that night at First Niagara Center.

Spent a few days with Eric Frick shooting footage for a short form documentary on the co-owners of Marble & Rye, an excellent restaurant in downtown Buffalo. We went for a walk on a local farm, harvested wild ramps, and smelled a lot of good smells. Good people, good times! Editing soon…

Spent a day shooting greenscreen footage and learning an awful lot about O rings yesterday. Ask me about rubber compounds and tensile strength. Go ahead!

I operated camera and gaffed this commercial shot with my vintage lenses and old fashioned Red Epic MX. It was a good two days of cinematography with Mr. Eric Frick and Todd Bellanca.

Just got word that a cute bio video I shot for Chiampou Travis Besaw & Kershner LLP with Quinlan and Company received a bronze Telly award recently. Whoot!

Got to test drive DPost’s new world class production facility a few days ago with director, Eric Frick for a little table top motion imaging work with my makeshift motion control rig. We hear the footage looks great. Mission accomplished 🙂
