I recently shot a days worth of still images on a tv commercial shoot in Albany, NY for Excelsior College and was lucky enough to drive out there from Buffalo with 2 of my best friends who were also on the job.

We worked all day with a variety of on-camera talent and then drove straight home where I finally made it into my driveway by 11:30pm (not bad!)

The work day was productive and in the end I produced something like 300 images including some in support of the video setups being shot and portraits of the on-camera talent. (August 18, 2010)

I recently spent 2 full days shooting high definition video of talent (we call them “talent” in the “industry”) on greenscreen for one of my favorite clients – Innovative Concepts in Entertainment.

I’m sitting here next to the esteemed Mitsu Asami of Gamewax in London who will be building graphics for the video game I was shooting the footage for, and the girls looked exceptional thanks to my friend Josselyn Scott‘s excellent makeup work.

Driving through Boston at rush hour is not something I ever want to have to do again, but after finally getting to Maine for the Maine Media Workshops course and living through an intensive week of learnin’ and getting my new website built, I can definitely, safely say it was ALL worth it.

My traveling companion *Shannon, had to contend with 10 hour class days and a lot more tech than I did, so I had time to knock around Rockport a bit and spent some time walking around Clam Cove (pictured above).

The meals and the people at the Maine Media Workshops were something to remember and I think we’ll be coming back up here in the future for more learnin’ and eatin’.

And after all, since I’ve been here my phone has been ringing off the hook for work so that’s another reason I should probably do this more often! (June 18, 2010)
