“The incisions are smaller, but the stories are bigger.”

Just recently visited beautiful summertime Watertown, NY with director Eric Frick to produce a 3rd spot for Samaritan Medical Center, featuring their cutting edge robotic surgery capability. We danced the weather dance, made our mandatory trip back to Coleman’s Corner, and even discovered an amazing Thai restaurant in Syracuse. Not bad.

Smaller incisions, less trauma, faster healing time – that’s what it’s about.

Wrenching on “The Frazer.”

One day out of two with full sun – not bad.

Joe stands by while I touch the camera a lot.

A lone camera awaits (shot one on day one).

A study in two distinctly different gaits.

Eric knows what he wants and we’re there to get it.

Our fishing man (he didn’t catch anything).

My least favorite operating position but Joe makes it bearable.

Director Eric contemplates greatness.

Eric squeezes coal into diamond right before our very eyes.

I just can’t function in the morning without my juice bag.

The driving creative force behind the whole effort, Eric and Dave. Also, a kick-ass acid jazz music duo :-p

Grillin’ with Eric.

Director Eric Frick and I recently spent a day at dStudio‘s sprawling state of the art production complex crafting these luxurious spots for Wegmans. Mmmm mmm. It’s (almost) summer! Get out there and grill!

Rust To Gold

A while back I was drawn into a music video project for a trio of brothers from Central New York who call themselves Council. Todd Bellanca directed for Lux Content, and I served as Director of Photography while dPost put it all together. It was ambitious as usual but everyone involved worked hard to deliver something special.

Best of You

Here’s a nice little spot I made recently with director Eric Frick for The Martin Group. And no, that’s not Ice Cube but we got lucky with the casting, or just very skilled with the casting 😉 Coincidentally, the sun seemed to shine into our home set at exactly the right angle at exactly the right moment (luck or skill?)

Mr. Frick imparts the crucial essence upon our lead thespian.

Our little lady at the ready and creative force, Dave, dribbling an unseen basketball.

Yes, we still pay the grips even when I can’t help myself.

Long term collaborator and bestest agency friend ever, Frank, who penned this bite sized cinematic journey of hope.

Jolt!, for your eyes!

Spent a lovely day yesterday with some of the Quinlan team, filming some social media work in support of a new line of cooling, lubricating, eye drops, called Jolt! I’m told this stuff wakes your eyes up, so until the Neuralink starts coming on line, hard core gamers should be dropping this stuff like energy drinks and hot pockets.

Witch Hunt: A Todd Bellanca joint

I got another chance to work with the man, director Todd Bellanca, last summer on his recent personal project featuring not only a cast of fine local actors but a dream location, CooCooU, which houses an endless ever changing ocean of super sweet mid century furnishings. dPost, Todd, and I collaborated on bringing Todd’s vision to light in this SAG New Media short film story involving a fictional mob boss using suspiciously familiar language more commonly heard in the political realm as of late.

173This project was shot entirely on Panasonic GH5S.

Buffalo Botanical Gardens

Spent a number of days last summer roaming the grounds at the glorious Buffalo Botanical Gardens filming footage for their new video and THIS came out of it. My friends at Quinlan provided the creative direction as well as the amazing narration.
