“Tops Never Stops”

Director, Eric Frick and I just spent a productive and enjoyable day with the fine folks from our hometown grocery chain, Tops Friendly Markets, shooting their new series of commercials with their CEO. The level of enthusiasm on set was off the charts and it was good to work with excellent production manager, John Takacs again. I can’t wait to see the final edits!

Speaking of Sammy…

Here’s a documentary piece on Sammy Watkins I contributed to as camera operator. We spent a day at the Bills training camp in Penfield, NY back in early August to shoot most of this footage:

I finally got to see what a $22,000. paint job looks like.

I just spent a day at Paul and Lauren’s Fix’s garage (filled with sick Mustangs) to shoot 3 spots for a leather care product Lauren Fix is spokespersoning for and I have to admit, I had a hard time not constantly staring at the cars.

I finally made it to Delaware!

I got out of the house for a 2 day visit to Wilmington and Dover in the first state – Delaware, to shoot some footage for an M&T Bank spot. The drive was very easy and definitely more comfortable than flying, so I’d zip down again… if I ever need to visit Delaware again.

Recent spot for Towne Mini

I shot a fun little one day dealio for Towne Mini in the Buffalo area recently and the results are characteristically fun (one of these days, I’ll own one):

Mr. Frick and I

Director Eric Frick and I had a real good time yesterday working on a spot for the nice people from Crowley Webb & Associates. We explored some shallow depth of field options with Canon L series lenses on my Red Scarlet-X camera, the weather cooperated, and aside from being inundated with houseflies at the location, lunch from Clarence Center Cafe was very nice 🙂

A little style for Rembrandt Charms

I helped produce and acted as cinematographer/camera operator on a recent web spot for Rembrandt Charms (their first ever!) After finding a nice location much closer to home which allowed us to ultimately rule out shooting in the Adirondacks and the Finger Lakes region, we all took a nice drive South and converged.

Josselyn Scott was on hand to administer makeup of course.

I hear everyone is happy with the results 🙂

The Ghost Pro 3 axis gimbal stabilizer comes to my house

I was a Kickstarter supporter about a year ago of Spaulding International Cinema’s initial carbon fiber 3 axis gimbal camera stabilizer. These things are super popular as of late and a half day recently working with their version 1 stabilizer convinced me that I needed to upgrade to their Pro model which allows use of the heavier Red camera.

Who’s stoked? I am 🙂
